Not usually. But knowing he is a higher limit player and been around for a bit helps know that he isn't just suiciding that river.

As stated, I tend to lean for river raises on these types of scenarios if any of the below 3 criteria are met:

1) Player has demonstrated that he overplays his hands constantly/rich person new to game/drunk.
2) Player hates me.
3) Can get a different player who led the whole way, fold out a better hand after checking a dangerous river and having someone else donk.

Other than that, I usually call/fold these types of situations and find it helped increase my overall line.

I think you're beat here a lot by CO, you have BB beat so no sense in raising to drive him out, just call and maybe you can collect an overcall for the times when you're ahead.

Before you raise consider that you're ahead of BB almost 100% of the time and you might win another bet by getting him to overcall. If you raise there's no chance of him calling so you've gotta have a better hand than CO to win any money. Your risking 2 bets to win 2 bets when you raise but your risking 1 bet to win 1.75 bets when you call.

[/ QUOTE ] This is definitely the best line in the hand. When i thought about it, the bb in the hand would probably call atleast half the time just because the pot was big. I didn't take that line because i was so fixated on the cut offs range, but clearly the best line to risk less and win the same if i was good.
