Sounds like a sickening story mate, it is very honourable that you gave over $30k to charity and family.
I can't give any advice from where to go here unfortunately, maybe stay away from poker altogether? You really don't want to be under pressure to win back the $60k you are owed surely, that might break you in the end. btw I'm guessing bakes lol [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Sad... Hope you can recover. I'm kind of the same personality as you are, the one who can't say no to people. Knowing this, I would never let anyone else but me play for my money, so I guess being a backer is not for me. But if I was going to back someone, it'd be someone I knew very well, one I could monitor closely and make him move down when losses are escalating. When backing, shouldn't you make up rules for your backees to follow, i.e. you should control what levels they play and when to move down/move up? Just curious how all this backing works behind the scenes.

Bond, yeah you got me buddy. Ill take you up on your offer as soon as I get off my sorry ass. Im still busy sitting around feeling sorry for myself. FYI guys Bond was responsible for getting me to take poker seriously. He has always been there when i needed him. One other thing, when staking people 100%, FFS make sure you get more than 20% return.
