Re: JJ v squeeze
usually flat call the 3bet, getting it in here preflop can't be good against a 20/13

Re: JJ v squeeze
fwiw this guy fourbet after i squeezed with something it was like my second orbit at the table so he had no read on me i folded aj or something and he flipped K5 and said 'maybe next week'. then he went on to pay off turn and river bets with overcards after pf raising and checking behind on the flop (me betting 77 on 3458 boards etc. and he did it twice). pretty random imo. the one time he three bet he shoved his stack 50bb's in with qq.
i think he's capable of squeezing with air but he never did it my session with him besides the random fourbet with K5 he never really three bet at all either. i think he's got a hand when he squeezes but that random K5 will be burned into my head forever so i'm not sure what to do here. maybe call the squeeze with an underrepped hand since he seemed pretty weaktight and passive, although capable of random isht, and might get scared you called with his junk and check. if he jams the flop you can just dump or stack off on nice boards if he bets weakish. imo he'll jam the flop with good hands but check with ak/aq ui, just a guess tho. |

Because if overs = fold to cbet , and a low flop = good to get all in, Then we just make a cbet from AQ AK stuff and lose the stack to QQ+ , which would have gotten in preflop anyways along with hands we have 53% vs. does that make any sense? |

Re: JJ v squeeze
if you smoothcall the first time with JJ in this spot, you're kinda obligated to come over the top when you get squeezed, i think. isnt that why you smoothcalled in the first place?
expect him to stackoff TT and 99 and fold AQ, which are good to your cause. fwiw though i dont think I like the initial preflop smoothcall, I think this should be a RR most all of the time. |

Re: JJ v squeeze
Calling pre is good once in a while here vs regulars for pretty obvious reasons, but vs a bunch of unknowns I really don't like it

Re: JJ v squeeze
im ok with preflop cause i wanted to keep other players in the hand and i have a great pair on the btn. no need to isolate the raiser here with more fish in the hand.
stop talking about preflop! edit: the first call i mean! |
