Re: My MMA fight...
how old/tall are you? I don't see how it's possible for a dude to be 115 lbs, or are you a chick? And explain how you are a better "technical fighter"

Re: My MMA fight...
What are the rules if any?
What is the environment (parking lot, etc.)? If you have no real live training (fights/competitions) do you really expect your ninja board breaking skillz, if any, to hold up? Why would trying to put on 30+lbs of fat in the next few weeks help anything at all? (PS no matter what your diet composition if you try to make up the weight difference this short term it will be mostly fat) Also damn you're scrawny.... why fight anyone? |

Re: My MMA fight...
alright.
i have fought my friends MMA style. we like to 'ufc' each other from time to time. we have the same style gloves (not the actual things) but they work well. we all weigh from 140-210. i fought twice. i fought a friend who i outweighed by like 30 pounds and beat him pretty good. I'm 5'9, 170 fwiw. i got him with a good right hook and then got on top and beat him. then i fought my other friend, who outweighs me by 30. he used to be on the wrestling team. needless to say, i got my ass kicked. he threw me around and pounded my ass into a pulp. i think with a little fighting experience, you can do it. i made a major mistake by going right at him instead of sitting back and sprawling. i have a much better stand up game than him but he nonetheless got a hold of me and beat me down. so, i would suggest #1 getting some cardio in, working out alot. endurance is a huge factor, and fighting is tiring. other than that, i cant really suggest much. |

I believe theres no question I am ahead in the technical department, but I also have ZERO experience in "real" fighting/mma. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: My MMA fight...
Aside from the obvious question of why the hell you would do this..
If you have four weeks. Dont bother trying to gain weight. Eating healthy is probably going to be better for you then bulking up. Also, go to a local boxing/mma gym and take 3 1/2 weeks of Muay Thai, Boxing, Jujitsu or something. Oh..And remember to keep your hands up. |

how are you a better "technical fighter" if you have never been in one [/ QUOTE ] Well, Ive done Taekwondo for about 6-7 years now. I forgot to mention though, the guy is about 5'11 and I'm about 5'4, so I can't really use my striking skills too much. He has absolutely no ground game, and thats where I plan to take the fight. Ive started to learn judo along with submissions. Of course, I think everyone knows that sparring and a "fight" fight are totally different things. We are equal when it comes to actual fighting, but I have way more experience sparring stand up and Im learning the ground game. Again, given my opponent's huge reach advantage, I plan to take it to the ground. |
