Why don't you go to your classes? Are they early classes, and you oversleep? Do you just not care enough to go? Do you lose track of time, and realize you missed half a class and say "[censored] it"?

Re: beat: lol who goes to class? $$ on FTP for answerz!
the trick is to moderate your skipping so that you dont really fall behind.
example, i have a lecture this morning for a class which i skipped (obv im posting), but the tutorial for the class is in 2 hours which i will attend and probably catch up on what i missed in the lecture |

Re: beat: lol who goes to class? $$ on FTP for answerz!
I graduated from college a few years ago. Here was my attendance strategy broken down by years:
Year 1: 90-100% Year 2: 60-70% Year 3: 30-40% Year 4: ~10% I also filled up slightly less than one standard sized notebook with notes over all 4 years. Classes I could stand to go to (afternoon, good prof, convenient location), I would attend and listen. Classes I wouldn't attend for various reasons, I studied the online notes, other people notes, the book or whatever else the day or sometimes two days before a test. I didn't have an easy major either, full computer science degree w/ psych minor (well that part was easy). This strategy only ended up biting me in the ass twice, I had to repeat two classes, mainly due to attendance issues (didn't fail either, but a D didn't count for credit because of my major). I came in with some credits from AP tests and other placement tests, so I still graduated in 4 yrs w/ a ~3.2gpa. So my advice is this: Attend the classes you enjoy, learn and study the things that interest you and pursue other academic/learning things outside of class that interest you the most. Skate by in the classes you don't care about. Spend as much time as possible having fun w/ friends. If you need 5 years to graduate, it's no big thing. Also if you're serious about getting a good job right out of school, get into internships asap and take classes which simulate real work environments (group projects, division of labor, etc). |

anyone having issues going to class this semester? last year i was at like every single class, was studying a lot, got a 3.3, so i did pretty well. but this semester i can't do [censored]! i go to like 1/5th of my classes, and granted it's only been like.. 3 weeks since class started, not even. but lol, someone teach me how to go to class. $$$ on FTP for a proven scientific theory that will get me from point A (bed) to point B (class) by variable C (on time). [/ QUOTE ] i have been to 2 classes since school started. i am on scholarship that requires me to get at least 3.0. i was able to do this all of last year fairly easily and dont expect anything different this year |
