As said above, KQ prolly 3-bets the flop, so does AA.

[/ QUOTE ]

KQ might 3-bet the flop, but it's not automatic. Mostly only the real aggros (raise/fold) with a AF of 4 or so 3-bet that flop with KQ. It's not impossible, but not very likely.

I'm pretty sure KQ raises the turn, though.

ok since i didnt suggest a line:

B/3B.

villain has played his hand exactly like AK/AQ. he is also aggro postflop, overplays his hands, and doesnt pay attention much to what you could be holding. if you bet this river he is almost guaranteed to raise with his big slick/ms slick. it is unlikely he holds a flush. you would have heard from KQ on the turn. he would have 3 bet AA on the flop. B/3B him on the river and extract max value.

I think that you need to consider your opponent's hand range for 3-betting pf.

If he wont 3-bet pf light, then I would consider TT+,AK & AQ to be a reasonable range.

If villain 3-bet the flop, I would consider that he most likely had AA-TT. However, as he is very aggro postflop, I would probably call down unimproved.

As villain only called the flop check/raise and turn bet, I would consider that he most likely had AK or AQ.

If villain then tended to focus too much on his own hand, he would presumably bet the river when checked to after he improved to top pair.

So, a river check/raise (as suggested by Shillx) looks like a reasonable line to me.

Hero has the best hand 100% on the river. Villain doesnt have KQ and its highly unlikely he has AA altho its a remote possibility.

Bet/3-bet if you think villain will raise/call AK and AQ

C/r if you dont.

BTW call down from the flop if he 3-bets

yase!

call down a flop 3bet.

i don't have that book, and i've actually heard less than stellar things about it so i've never picked it up. i've read some quizzes this guy has done and thoroughly disagreed with alot of his reasonings, but i'm a glutton for poker books so i might check it out anyway.

later on, can someone give some insight into what Jacobs says? ty.

Most of the time his advice is solid and the reasoning is fine. A few times he says silly things. For example (Hand 10)we have Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in the SB. BB raised pf and it's 6 handed pot. Flop is Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Byron suggest bet because the aggro BB will probaly raise and force everyone out. If u check (intending to CR) 'it will be hard to know where you stand'.

Retarded reasoning IMO.

I promise I will give the complete answer. But since the discussion is still alive I will wait some.

I feel I need to give the answer to Q1. Byron suggests cap. Me and everone else here wants to call down. Byron puts Dimitri on:

AK-AT, KQ-KJ, AA-TT after he 3-bets (JT is excluded because of pf).

And agaisnt that range cap/lead non K,Q is fine. Especially it's important tha we lead the turn if he holds AK-AQ. I guess we don't face these aggro TAGs that often.

U need to use Q1 and the correct answer (which some of u have given) on Q2 to combine into the answer to Q3.

Is this fun, or what?

river is a easy bet-3-bet besids that...what fantam sad.

Sushis leak is that he misses a ton of value bets.

I also really dont get the flop cap if 3-bet on the flop.
