Re: my friend and i are arguing: $22 180 person 17 remaining players
Its sort of one of those things where you both may be right.
If im making a bit of an overpush i would prefer to have a hand with some showdown value. On the other hand if the players are tight and likely to fold its certainly not bad. Like adanthar just said though the bubble just burst so these tight players might suddenly loosen up on you. its one of those things not worth having a huge argument over because neither of you are definitely right/wrong. |

easy push.
The blinds are both small stacks; this decreases their chance of a call with marginal hands (AJ-/99-) if it gets through the LP guys |

I've been working on IQM using SitNgoWizard - you'd be surprised what hands you should push with. I'm at work and don't have access to it right now but I'll bet it's a push.

[/ QUOTE ] You do realise you can't just plug MTT hands into that, since its based on 50/30/20 payouts. But yeah, i can't see this push ever being -EV with the reads he provided. People folding here most likely are too tight |

Re: my friend and i are arguing: $22 180 person 17 remaining players
Seriously this push is terrible I can't really ever imagine it being +ev even against super nitty calling ranges. I mean seriously even the nittiest of nits have to be calling something like AJ+ 88+ maybe I'm wrong... but I find it hard to believe people are calling as tight as the op suggests. More importantly chances are you will find a better spot before the blinds hit.

Assume you get called half the time, which I think is a bit high. when they fold, you win the blinds and antes. the other half of the time, they call and you probably only win something like a third of the time, but when you win, you win the blinds, plus double your stack. when you weigh those equities, it probably ends up being a push. |
