it would be even better if you raised to 40 preflop.
flop (84, 343): 50
turn (184, 293): 90
river (364, 203): can def check/fold. 2.8:1

[/ QUOTE ]

Nice idea, but then he has to pay $25 to possibly win $443 and has pretty god damn hot odds for a set. Pf raise should be to around $50.

Looks like standard stack-a-donk.

if he calls 25 he needs to make 200 if he flops a set, call it 170 because theres like 30 dead pre. we put in 140. we win.

not to mention most people peel one with their ui pp on flops like this, and also discounting the 1/6th of the time that we overset him by the river.

if we were deeper (even only 30bb deeper), i could see potting or overpotting pre because it gives us that much more room to fold if we need to.

Dustbustr is correct, he actually can have a mid PP a decent enough amount of the time here. I doubt you checked the turn with the intention of c/f'ing to a 1/2 pot bet, so get the money in.

result:
i cr the turn ai and he called with kk.

i dont see a way to get way from the hand vs this opponent. if i just call the turn, the potodds on the river would be too tempting to call if he shoves.

dustbustr: i really like u approach but i am not a big fan of a smaller pfr. but i agree that ur line might safe 1/2 buyin assuming villain isnt shoving a worse hand on the river (what is not that unlikely)

fwiw its more of a thought experiment, because really nobody who plays 4+ tables is alert enough to adjust their pfr to stack sizes. apparently flynn talks about it in his new book, im still waiting for my copy

If I check the turn here it's usually with the intention to crAI. You played it fine imo. Bet bet shove river is also a good line.

He has TT or a big J here a lot more often than KK, so the above rings true, fire away and have him call you with two outs. Going broke here is fine.
