Meh, GF's family's friends are having us over.
Will probably be 10-12 or so people from the two families and sig-others combined but it will be kind of lame.

They're pretty good cooks though so no matter what they decide to make I expect to get stuffed.

I think the other family is kind of insane so I will mostly amuse myself just observing them.

Best part of family gatherings. Throw the right amount of alcohol into the mix and they make their own fireworks!

Also, it looks like we'll have several EDF regulars keeping our skies safe for us. Good work guys.

I'm going to a joint 4th of July party/brother's graduation party, and somehow the menu became tenderloins and lobster. Not very traditional, but delicious.

heading into chicago to go to the taste for the first time in like 9 years. THe only reason I'm going is because there is going to be a free concert with Robert Randolph that will be going on. that, and I kinda feel like doing the taste

The steel guitar guy?

yup. a major local station is bringing Robert Randolph and a few other acts. I couldn't really care about the other acts and just want to see Randolph.

haha I'm abroad in France right now, so basically making sure to get trashed at the many clubs that have handed out fliers saying "Free drinks for Americans!" and then acting like a typical rambunctious American with NLSoldier

All,

Who's cooking awesome stuff?

My parents are coming to visit, so the main focus will be Scrabble matches w/ me, my mom, my sister, and her husband.

Ten more days and you can celebrate Bastille Day in France. It gets crazy in Paris during the holiday.

No no no, this is not in the current 2+2 style, you need to play chess-matches with rooks removed.

Ship the cheese-brats. If you've never had a bratwurst with cheese in it you haven't really lived.
