all,

I'm not suggesting a slow-play, I am suggesting getting more value on the flop. I think we are missing it if we just bet out.

If I have a hand that I know for a fact is the best hand, I am always hesitant to go for a c/r if there's no one I will know for a fact will bet.

if the villains are loose but folds on the turn, I bet the flop and check the turn to induce a bluff and raise the river

He has to bet >50% of the time for the c/r to be of value. We have ATC in BB, we check--villain is going to bet a fair amount?

hand 1: I think hand 1 is a standard check/raise? Villain is always betting.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm sorry, but I just can't agree with this. First off, a check raise reduces our implied odds and may cause villain to fold on later streets. We also have NO guarantee that he'll bet, so we lose a LOT of value if he checks through. Not to mention, giving up a free diamond is not the greatest play the poker world has ever seen.

Can you really trust a guy who raises 44 out of the big bling?

Jam these suckas. That said

Is a pretty silly thing to say

On the First hand I bet. There's a decent chance that your opponent hit a piece of the flop or a draw and will come along. Also a 7,9, or Q can kill any potential action.

On the second hand I bet as well. Since you raised preflop your opponents expect you to bet the flop. It just looks to suspicious when you check a flop like that after raising preflop.

c/r'ing hand 1 is defensible in some circumstances (generally with reads) but checking hand 2 is a crime and if you ever do it against me I will post the HH in the NC thread just to make fun of you.
