[our total chips] / [small blind + big blind + antes] = M

It tells us how far we are from being "blinded out" from the tourney. As it drops lower and lower the higher the sense of urgency in terms of making a move to pick up more chips.

i have started to see this big overbet raise w aa kk lately bc good players(like the ones on here) react the way they just did but you have to play % and the % are DEFINITELY in your favor so poker is a math game like managers try to do you play the %. this time it might be aces but the next 4 itll be a hand you have crushed

The majority of the MTT that I play are in the $8 - $30 buy-in range. With an M of 6, QQ is a great hand to pick up. The raise to 6X BB screams 77-99 or AK/AQ here to me. The deeper you go in tournaments with this type of buy-in, the more likely EP players are going to limp AA-QQ. You don't have a read here, but I think you're ahead and would play that way. I'd push and hope I didn't get drawn out on.
