Nowhere does it say you need to complete each round in a single set.

A 200lb guy does more work than a 180lb guy...of course! He's bigger and stronger!

so i had to scale it........again.

but i think (after reading a bunch of crossfit posts) that i have the wrong idea about this w.o.

i was really shooting for unbroken sets and little to no rest. i did the whole thing, scaled of course, in under 15 minutes, which i realize now is ridiculous. so next time i think i have it figured out, but not there yet.

it is brutal btw, BRUTAL. deads not too bad, bench fairly easy, cleans just flat wore me out though, guess i know where to focus my work.

thanks for the feedback. J.

the ground.

jesus, no wonder you were dead for your cleans, you are doing a full clean rather than a clean to rack position, which is what i thought it would be...incorporating an extra set of front squats will def make you more tired

i will have to go re-check, but i think it is calling for full cleans. the front squat wasn't brutal because i scaled the weight back, but it did fatigue me overall for sure.

smiley?? full cleans for linda right??

a very tired, very sore, J.Brown

Full cleans is what they say. Meh though, I think power cleans are a better choice for a workout like this. The squat clean is finicky, doing them all fatigued and sore is just going to get bad motor patterns going imo. This workout is all about work output - doing power cleans over full cleans won't change the work done that much.

hmmmmmmm, muy intersante.

i sort of understand what you are saying, but only if you are really working for a max effort clean as a goal.

am i way off here??
i may be mis-reading for sure.
power cleans are sooooooo much easier for me (my upper body is overly strong, not sure why, and i muscle them up but pay the price with really sore anterior shoulder muscles)

doing this today total fatigue set in early and often on this one, until the low rep rounds, but i recovered fairly quickly due to scaling the weights.

full linda might equal full death right now, but in 2 months i might conquer the girl. full cleans included.

Yeah, getting a big clean and jerk is one of my top priorities right now for some reason. If you don't care about it at all then it's obviosly much less of a concern.
