Well, I mean, he might be able to get away from it for an all-in, but I doubt he's gonna call preflop with AK just to c/f this flop. You can always bet/check/bet if you don't think you can get three streets value off of him.

You can def get 3 streets of value off him if he has AK unless the club comes (which it did but then you can just check the turn and call the river if he bets or valuebet the river if he checks).

Not everyone stacks off AK here, so I don't think it's definite.

This hand is played so stupid! You under-raise preflop and check a king-high flop then get all confused what to do on the turn? You've under-represented your hand and surely the flop check was to invite excess action on the turn/river. You played for this so now call or get the chips in.

FWIW, I'd raise more preflop and I'm rarely checking that flop. I bet that flop with AA because I also bet that flop with JJ/QQ when I've 3-bet those.

Who said I was confused on what to do on the turn?

I actually just posted this because I really liked what happened here and felt 100% confident shoving the turn here. I just thought it was an interesting and different way to play the hand and thought I'd see what others thought.

I have no problem and would just bet/bet/bet many times, but looking back, I really like this line too.

Have I missed the result or have you not posted it. If there is a positive result to this hand derived from what can only be described as non-standard play then surely the thread belongs in BBV?

I hadn't posted it, but since you so kindly asked...
