20 minutes to walk from Paris to Venetian. Unless you stop to chat with the slapper guys. The worst part is winding your way through the crowd in front of Harrahs.

Could any casino have a worse street layout than Harrahs? Sometimes I cross the Strip just to avoid that obstacle course.

The problem with walking around in Vegas is that you can see the hotel you want to go to, and you think it's not that far away (like the Stratosphere)...but it is usually a lot farther than you think. That's why you're allowed to carry drinks around, to cope with all the walking. Venetian to Paris shouldn't be that bad. I've walked from Bellagio to the Riviera before, taking a long detour walking around the Venetian...that sucked.

First time in Vegas me and 4 buddies thought it would be a great idea to walk from MGM to the Stratosphere. About 2 hours later we got there. I felt bad for my one friend wearing sandals. He had some nice blisters.

I do that walk 4 times a week at least. My giant blue van won't fit it any other parking garage except Paris, and I play at the V. The worst part is getting stuck behind dawdlers, and also walking past that ridiculous booth outside Harrah's where people get a video of themselves "riding" a motorcycle in front of a green screen. 15-20 minutes.

Last July (120 degrees F) the wife and I walked from Tropicana to Venitian because she was too cheap to cab it.

We took the cab back.

No lie. I was at the Orleans once, and a couple next to me were saying "The Wynn doesn't look that far away. Let's walk it!".

Vegas is really weird like that.

To the uninitiated the buildings really do look that 'not far away'.

Of course, anybody who's been around LV at all knows that the Orleans to the Wynn is a REALLY long hike.
But this type of mistake on an illusion like that probably happens to newcomers hundreds of times every day I would guess.

I walk Bellagio to IP/Mirage/TI/Venetian a lot. Like others said, 15-20 minutes. Lots of stuff to look at and keep you entertained. If the weather is a problem, you can go from Paris str8 into Ballys and then cut through Flamingo and Harrahs.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I wonder if they got a cab around Monte Carlo or Bellagio. I made a similar, but not nearly as bad, mistake walking from Bally's to the Rio last year. Oh sure, it's just past I-15....yeah, until you walk over that bridge and have to walk all the way down to the actual entrance. We took a cab back.

I kinda liked riding the monorail out to the LV Hilton. Walking is good if your'e in the heart of the strip and are just kinda wandering around. I seem to remember walking from the Stratosphere to Treasure Island one time.....not only is it really far, the neighborhood around the Strat isn't very nice.
