wtf, are you kidding?

but since i desperately want to win that buck here's my perfect answer ftw:

question 1:
call like you did, don't scare him off his bluff, let him bluff again on river, or let him value bet again on river if he has a set or flush or whatever.

question 2:
don't ask villain if he would show, just instacall and win.
why? because you like money.

bonus - read:
since you make such a big fuss about this ridiculous hand, villain obviously had the nuts. you're such a poor boy, now ship the money plz.

I think this hand is way more interesting than you guys are giving credit for. I like your initial turn check raise, as you definitely want to represent the bare A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] there. When he reraises, I put him on either a flush or a straight flush. It's unlikely he has a set because he probably would have raised preflop with a lot of those pocket pairs. Plus he would probably call and hope to see a turn.

I think a turn shove is best. Remember, you've represented the bare A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] very well up until this point, if he has a lower flush he probably wants to get the money in on the turn, hence the turn reraise on his part. Push now so that a river [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] doesn't come out where you could possibly lose action if he has a low flush.

The river is where it gets really interesting. I definitely wouldn't instacall, and I agree with hero asking villain a question to kind of gauge how comfortably villain answers it. Still, getting about 2:1, we only really have to be good here about a third of the time to make this a profitable call. I think villain has a straight flush here a lot, probably about half the time, but for the other half when he has a low flush or if he's bluffing because he reads us for the bare A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] that missed on the river, I think it makes it a call. If he has the nuts, calmly leave the table with you chips because that casino is rigged!

i have no B&M experience, but everybody says the play is MUCH worse than online, so maybe 5/10 is comparable to 1/2 online i guess...

so i would safely assume that villain has complete crap and air a decent amount of times.

now even if we give him a bit more credit and say he will only play like this with any flush and of course the straight flush (i really don't think villain could get away or would slow down with ANY flush here) - do the math: how likely is a flush, how likely is a SF??? hence, instacall.
(or am i missing something?)

EDIT:
even if villains range is only flushy suited connectors we are a huge favorite:

This hand isn't that interesting; but you really want that $1 huh?

Don't fold.

Open-fold turn so that you don't have to see a river.

he'll have straight flush there like 76% of the time. You're getting 3 to 1 to call so it's a close but easy fold.

p.s. after folding show yr hand so he goes on monkey tilt.

this is retarded....its like flopping mid set on a rainbow board and being afraid to go broke with it...quit poker forever if you are afraid of calling here...or come play HU w/ me, and i'll rep the nuts every hand.

I was just gonna lock this thread, but I don't want to deprive anybody of the sweet moolah

Here is my only comment on this hand:
[ QUOTE ]
Hero looks at cards, wanting to give impression he's checking to see if he has a club, then raises to 100

[/ QUOTE ]
This little bit of acting here basically told him that you have a flush.

Fold preflop because Axs makes the nut flush against a straight flush far too often to be profitable.
