[/ QUOTE ] lolcat sez "stop killing me and betz zee flops" arborman, when u checkraise the micros you usually are signalling a monster and often all it does is cause villians to freeze up and at best c/c down or fold (note taht this means taht you can checkraise with vunerable hands with the same effect) see, if you play your sets fast your fishy friends wont believe you have a set because they dont play that way. stop trapping start value betting ur sets please. |

Re: Flopped set
Yeah, you need to bet and raise with your sets here. I'm sure everybody's already said that, though, so I'll just leave it at that.
While I'm here... [ QUOTE ] decided to limp this one because it was a fairly passive table (avg about 50% vpip). [/ QUOTE ] I think you're conflating two different concepts here. What you just described was a LOOSE table, not a PASSIVE one. When you're talking about VPIP, you're always talking about how loose or tight a table is (i.e., how many hands they'll play). When you talk about aggression factor (AF), then you're talking about how aggressive/passive the table is (i.e., how often they're betting and raising vs. how often they'll just call). |

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah sorry, I forgot to mention that PFR% was super low (can't remember exactly, but I it was a very passive table). Most of the past 15 pots or so went into the flop 4-6 handed with no raise. Those pots that were raised were almost always raised by me or CO (and cold called by 4+ people). I think, and correct me if I'm wrong here, that you folks are unanimous in telling me to bet my sets. |
