Amare Stoudemire to undergo arthroscopic surgery

Problems in the other knee can occur to anyone, such as yourself, it is just that it is somewhat common w/ elite athletes b/c of how active they are.

Actually, microfacture surgery is terrible long term and is debilitating since there isn't any cartilage left. Amare won't be able to hoop with his teenage kids yo.

would like to hear more about this. i had always heard that mf promotes cartilage growth so that long term one is able to maintain activity and avoid knee replacement.

I had a professor teach us that there were two sides to it w/ athletics--that it was great if rehab'ed correctly etc. but some athletes are trying to get back after 4 months or even less and it hinders cartilage growth. From what I remember, Amare came back to soon--midseason?--his knee hurt and then had to start back over w/ his rehab program. I was really just talking/kind of joking about Amare--but only time will tell.
