manufactured holidays are so effing lame. Do a better job showing her how much you appreciate her the other 364 days of the year, and then laugh at all the poor shmucks who have to sweat out stupid days like this one. If she still needs some stupid present from her HUSBAND on MOTHERS day, and gets pissy if you dont come up with the goods then trade her in for a better model.

I've got zero idea what to get my mom. Might just go with flowers and a card, standard operating procedure.

trees/ rose bushes/ outdoor plants that actually get planted by someone else. We LOVE that stuff, it's a continuous reminder of a specific holiday when we get older. We love to remember the holiday that say 5, 8, 10 years ago, you first got us that............(and planted it for me).
