Re: profiling opponents using PAH (tl, dr)
[ QUOTE ]
Really good stuff. Part D is particulary good 1 thing, I regard folding his sb/bb to steal as high with anything over 60 really, 80 I would regard as incredibly high. [/ QUOTE ] 1.) Dude, what? He's talking about TAGs here, a spot check of my DB showed virtually all regular TAGs fold blinds at least 80%. I'm pretty aggro about defending and I'm still at 86%/75%. 2.) OP, nice analysis. For the 3-bet light part, I hadn't clued into using call PFR to tweak this, so particular thanks for that. |

Re
nice post.
will need to read it a couple of more times to fully understand it. Funny, was thinking the other day how nice it will be to figure someone 3bet frequencies. |

Re: Re
thanks this is really insightful! I havenīt really started exploiting regs that much but i sure will in future. At 100nl there is so much fish though that this isnīt really necessary but thanks a lot again.

Re: Re
when i say TAG's, i really mean anyone between 15/12 and 24/19 or so. you would be suprised how many so called nits 3bet light.
to pineapple. there are tonnes of TAG's who have fold blinds to steal in the early 70s, these are the guys to come after. this is on party btw. maybe on other sites there is less light 3betting going on |

[/ QUOTE ] i think it is always necessary. at most stakes there will be at least 1 or 2 regs at the table, and even if you are not exploiting the regs, you don't want them to exploit you. you want to settle for neutral EV at least against them |

Re: profiling opponents using PAH (tl, dr)
Excellent post!
I especially liked thoughts on positional awareness and 3b light out of the blinds [ QUOTE ] e)if someones turn AF is pretty high (higher than 3) and so is their Cbet frequency, and their go to showdown is fairly low, you can be reasonably confident that this villain will double barell regularly. This means you may want to raise flops against them with vulnerable holdings that cant take much heat, or you can just call down lighter. Like the last point, a high W$WSF is the sign of a double bareller, who will try and take down more pots. [/ QUOTE ] "continuation bet turn" is very useful stat - its basically 'double barrel percentage'. It's not displayed by default but you can add it. I use few combos that might be useful to you: -Tight player with low WWSF (low 40), low WSD (<22) and high W$SD (>53)- this player folds a lot postflop and rarely goes to SD. Cbet and double barrel more, also try to steal more often in limped pots. Stealing in limped pots - above stats are important but also fold to (flop/turn/river bet) - kinda obvious. Say you open complete in SB, villain checks from bb, if his "fold to turn bet" is high - you know what to do after flop is checked. Floating - good candidate for floating is a TAG with high cbet%, low double barrel% and high "fold to turn bet". Facing turn raise - very useful stats are 'raise turn' and 'check raise turn' (obv), but most important: 'won @ sd when raise turn'. Lots of hands are required for this stat to be accurate. Same goes for 'won @ sd when raise river' |

Re: profiling opponents using PAH (tl, dr)
yes i have these won@sd when raise turn and river stats, the problem is you need thousands and thousands of hands to get a good read, so i haven't really utilised them that much.
i have seen Cbet turn on the popup layout organiser but haven't used it because i didn't know whether it was bet turn given they have Cbet flop, or bet turn given they have checked the flop when being the preflop agressor. the won at showdown stat also takes thousands and thousands of hands to be accurate, so i try to not pay too much notice to it. with a sample of less than 20,000 hands it really shows how good the player has been running rather than their tendancies. thanks for your input. |
