Re: T9s kinda crappy spot
[ QUOTE ]
without a bdfd on the flop, I might be tempted to let this go. [/ QUOTE ] I used to think that this wasn't a huge deal, but in marginal spots like these, bdfs are actually really good. |

Re: T9s kinda crappy spot
I would have 3-bet the flop and call a cap.
After a flop-cap there is no way to stay in this hand (after all, he could have a nut-flushdraw too, but...). If MP just calls the 3-bet you should donk the turn, and the river as long as the board doesnt shows a flush. ---- btw. what does bdfd and bdfs means? (newbie) |

Re: T9s kinda crappy spot
bdfd Back Door Flush Draw (3 cards to a flush)
bdsd(?) Back Door Straight Draw (3 cards to a straight) I think I fold pf without some spew reads and I do fold flop. We are likely outkicked or just pwned by some random holding including a UTGs PP. In addition to that, a FD will eat another 33% or so of our equity (+ the FD usually have OC outs.) God Im weak tight. |

yeah folding preflop is good too btw [/ QUOTE ] lol, nits, there's no way you can fold this preflop if you've posted $1, unless it's HU (I still call there a lot), you have to call. After flop bet/raise spot you're either a small favorite, or way behind. I muck this flop a lot unless you have reads like MP is a psycho and will do this w/ a gutshot off the flop, etc... |

Re: T9s kinda crappy spot
didnt read many responses but
folding pf is quite bad (pot odds mean anything? did you guys also notice it was 5 handed?). if you play nitpoker and fold here with T9s 5 handed you are donating. calling flop is a little bit bad (5 or less outs, not great odds, not closing the action vs pfr, etc). my 2c. |

Re: T9s kinda crappy spot
It's kinda interesting that no one here suggested c/f river.
P.S. OMG Tailspin! I used to love that show! |

Re: T9s kinda crappy spot
What does Hero's play look like to you, from MP's view? FD(+gutshot and/or + over card(s)?), 77-99, weak T would my guess.
That's just about the same range I'd actually put the MP on, with maybe a stronger T being more and straight draws less likely because he cold-called preflop. On the flop he's getting a chance to A) shut Hero out of the pot (with a weak made hand?) + maybe get UTG to fold his possible overs, B) raising for a free card with a draw (FD and/or some SD and/or overcard(s)), C) getting info about UTG's strength. IMO this merits at least the call-down. Hero's play on the flop looks like a draw. But I'd like to see that raise somewhere. |

Re: T9s kinda crappy spot
I'd fold the flop, facing the raise. The pot is laying me 9:2, and MP seems to represent TJs+. Likely hood of AT or KT. Your kicker is definitely beaten by the range of MP. JJ-AA is probably out, cos MP didn't re-raise preflop. very slim chance of AK.
