I think cold-calling hands like 99-TT after one pf raiser is a large mistake; you don't want to give overcards behind you (especially in the blinds) an invite to call along and increase the table's collective outs against you.

When to isolate with weaker hands is all villian-dependant. If villian is aggressive pf but weak-tight post flop, it's a good move; often he will just call your 3bet and then check-fold most flops. If villian is loose postflop that's fine too, you'll get sucked out on more often, but villian will also dump money to you when you have the best hand.
