Someone please help me.

I've never had a losing month in over a year and a half (really not even close). 45000 hands in July has brought me this........

I've never experienced anything like it. For 3 weeks straight, it doesn't matter what I have, I'm always beat.

Did everyone just get really good at pokah? Do I suck now?

I started talking to myself while I'm losing.......I say things like "I don't know how to play this game anymore" and "how can this keep happening to me".

Any of the regs ever run really bad for the better part of 3 weeks in a row? I need to hear some downswing stories please.

[/ QUOTE ]

is this NL400? I dont have alot of experience at that level but I know some competent poker players with breakeven stretches or losing stretches as long as that at NL200/NL400,,,I havent had one that long but I am a nit

just take a break for a few days come back and play basic poker for a while or drop down to NL100 and crush the donks,, it helps with the psychy

1. Get Poker Tracker.
2. Build up a highly aggressive PF image.
3. ???
4. Dodge bullets.

It hasn't been the most profitable night ever, but everything is just clicking tonight. I only had one F up: putting a $40ish stack all in with JJ after he limp/re-raised. I'm playing in the Bodog 100K guarantee tomorrow (free entry, though I hate donkaments), so I hope this "clicking" continues...I could sure use $25K. And yes, there were huge reads on the hand below...this is obviously not how I normally play/underbet it.

Ultimate Bet - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 10 Players

MP2: $85.50
Hero (BTN): $100.00

Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (9 Players)
4 folds, MP2 raises to $3.50, MP3 folds, Hero raises to $10.00, 2 folds, MP2 calls $6.50

Flop: ($21.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
MP2 checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($21.50) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
MP2 checks, Hero bets $9.00, MP2 calls $9.00

River: ($39.50) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
MP2 checks, Hero checks

Pot Size: $39.50 ($1.95 Rake)

MP2 had K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (two pair, kings and fives) and WON (+$18.00)
Hero had A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and LOST (-$19.00)

buy a new comp

it's really a good idea for all of us to break up our poker into smaller segments to put it more in-line with the reward mechanism of our brain

[/ QUOTE ]

Day1 of July round2

2470hands +690

felt good, going to be tempting to go play 1/2 but I'll stick with the plan

be cool, I've said several times I'm using July to test out different shortstack strategies. Just be glad I was away for a week.

I for one have missed seeing you around (probably because I don't have to play against you). Where have you been? On vacation?

[/ QUOTE ]

Also, regarding game conditions, the time of day you play right now is important to winrate. Night games are still fantastic. It's the day games I was mostly referring to. Over some decent samples, my nighttime (>4pm) winrate is twice as high as my daytime.

[/ QUOTE ]

hey, don't you live in hawaii?

therefore when its like 1pm there isn't it like 10pm in europe...

hmmm...

sounds like excuses to me. day games night games LOL. the fish are in europe and it's night time there when it's day time where you're at buddy. hell it's even night time East Coast US when it's early afternoon in Hawaii.

Of course maybe I have it all wrong.
