slider doesn't have a clue what he posted ? That might be a start. Considering TAGs(nits) should have WWsf of well above LAGs if they actually knew how to play postflop. Oh wait, maybe THATS why I think LAG vs TAG is a dumb debate.

I find it really silly that a high WWSF is universally praised as the golden standard of a good player without any regard to game conditions whatsoever. It seems to be just the new passing fad, like relentless light 3betting was a short while ago. Is there some flaw in my simple reasoning below?

Barring an ultra tight preflop range, you're WWSF will be high if you bluff a lot. Bluffing a lot is optimal in games where your opponents fold too much. Versus opponents who call too much, the optimal style is to tighten up, bluff less and value bet made hands extremely hard, netting you less pots but more money.

Have I missed something?

I've only had like three 2k days before in the past, so today I decided to have my first 3k day. All 200nl :P I'm tired and hungry.

Boom

I experimented with 2 barreling total bricks big tonight against certain players who love to call me down light when i 2nd barrel scary turn cards. Like the flop is scary, then the turn brings a 3 diff suit, and i bet big. They tank a while and then fold. One even tag typed in that he folded his weak overpair lol. It seems when you bet your scare card against some players there they are so eager to call me, but when i bet a brick they think once in a while, omg he would never do this with air. And they fold a bigger range when your image is good.

Do you think people are smart/skillful enough to think that you must be bluffing when you 2nd barrel scary turn?

Edit: was talking about SSNL players.

well i make a note when some 22/17 likes to pick off my bluffs when i bet a scare card. So i tried to reverse that on some of those players and it actually worked lol.

I can imagine that bluffing non scare turn would work very well against observant MSNL players, I just don't think average 200nl player would think: "ok, turn is a K and it's a good card for him to bluff, which he does. I think I will float/raise whatever"
