Re: SSNL [cheese] thread: NOV Pt 2 (nc)
yeah, thats all fine/good as well...the problem is not with the theory, its with applying that theory to villains that it will work on AND having the right image for it AND understanding flop texture...like in 'holdme''s new thread- he has zero outs and very little FE at 100NL and on that flop...so the move just becomse spewy.
Calling and shoving flops and 4betting both have merits and should both be used...a lot of it depends on what your image/style is and how those moves fit into it. I dont really want to get into what I do more often vs certain types of players, but it completely depends on the villain imo. |

[ QUOTE ] I'd rather call and play poker w/ mid pairs rather than use them to "combat light 3bets" especially in pos. [/ QUOTE ] thats pretty bad, all you can do with them postflop in rr pots is snap off bluffs. So unless i got a special read that villain is mega spewwy i fold them. I like hands like 78s better, because you can semibluff better with them. As with 77 ur either way ahead or behind. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I agree calling kinda sux unless you have good reads. I usually fold pf fwiw. Those advocating 4betting have made some good pts I never thought of. The hand posted seems bad though given no read/stakes/size of 4bet. |

Re: SSNL [cheese] thread: NOV Pt 2 (nc)
isn't it funny how someone can totally suck at poker and still make like $50/hr? this thought occurred to me while reviewing my pt database after a session this morning
