OF COURSE IT WOULD BE CALLED A STRIKE IF HE DIDN'T SWING.

[/ QUOTE ]

um i said it would be called a ball.

Either you went back and edited the word "strike" out of your post, or I'm a blithering idiot.

I know which way I'd bet that one.

naw, i dont have mod powers to edit like that. youre not an idiot though (obv) you just wanted to read it a certain way and did. i have done that often

anyways, if you dont have MLB.tv you can just take my word for it...the pitch was not a meatball. it was high and outside (not so much outside, but probably a ball) and the hitter had to kinda slightly dive out at it.

buchholz starting tomorrow's game 1 officially, and apparently ellsbury is also going to be at the game.

clay pitches game 1, gets optioned back to PAW, ellsbury recalled for game 2. only question is, who goes? looks like wily mo will get dfa'd, but i can't understand what role snyder provides this team. can his ass already.

tavarez > snyder, why on earth would you need 2 long relievers? its not like they have mike myers and chad bradford in the pen, anyone in there can go 1+

well, he's not indispensable or anything. I'm actually hoping that he gets replaced by Bucholz out there.

Where are you getting this from? I can only see (on MLB AND ESPN) that the first game is Beckett and Santana and that game 2 is Lackey vs Unknown.

According to his stats:

1.47 WHIP but just a 3.50 ERA. I calculated his BABIP to be .254 (34 non-home-run hits vs. 100 non-strikeout outs), which I think is quite low. He's been getting into jams and getting bailed out quite a lot.
