If I were Cuban, I'd sign Billups for whatever I should've paid Nash & maybe extra. Mavs+Billups=2nd round.

Reminds me of the current post on True Hoop (it's an e-mail from Kelly Dwyer):

[ QUOTE ]
Avery spent the bulk of his career around Coach Pop, coaches like him; so why do we keep hearing stories about Avery being Nellie's protege? He's Coach Pop's protege. If Avery learned anything from Nellie, it would be that life sucks when you essentially trade Steve Nash for Erick Dampier.

Sweet. Dwyer's one of the few guys worth reading.

Taraz,

Of course Houston has a much much better chance against GS than Dallas, but GS has a better chance against Hou than Utah mainly because of depth.

I guess I'm just thinking about the Warriors defense. That's why I think they won this series. They completely took Nowitzki out of the game.

I think they would have an easier time guarding Utah because of their athletic advantage.

I don't think offense is going to be much of a problem for GS no matter who they play.

I think people underestimate Utah's athleticism.. cuz of their whiteness maybe. They're pretty athletic.

Well their best defense against Yao will be running him up and down the court. Tmac will probably go off, but he's only one person.

Eh, I don't know, Deron Williams and Kirilenko are pretty agile. Millsap is also kind of a workhorse.

I don't think Boozer, Okur, Fisher, Harpring, etc are very athletic and certainly not more athletic than the Warriors.

My main point in saying that is I don't think that Utah has any mismatches that it can really exploit.

Both Utah and Houston can attack the inside, but I think Boozer will have an easier time staying on the court than Yao. Don't get me wrong though I do think Houston is better than Utah overall.

That's a good point about Yao's conditioning. He does get tired really easily.

Boozer is athletic as hell. He can't run the floor as well, but he's much stronger than any 4 the Warriors throw at him. And, unlike Dirk, [censored] thrives within a 13 foot radius of the rack. He's really awesome to watch.

Derron being athletic enough to hang with Baron is a huge benefit.

Harpring is big and strong and hustles a lot, but I think he sucks more than announcers give him credit for.

Okur is the worst player to ever don an All-Star jersey.

AK is so versatile and "free flowing" enough to disrupt some stuff on GS's possessions.
