Well yeah, if Nets dangle Kidd you have to consider. He's a top 3 PG in the league. And I think regardless of that, Cuban will do SOMETHING. But I don't see them looking at Terry and Harris or Diop + Dampier and saying "here's our problem."

They need to take Harris to a boxing gym and beat the [censored] out of him and teach him to be a man.

If I were Cuban, I'd sign Billups for whatever I should've paid Nash & maybe extra. Mavs+Billups=2nd round.

[censored] I forgot about Billups. He's basically a really good Terry. But I don't see how the money works.

Reminds me of the current post on True Hoop (it's an e-mail from Kelly Dwyer):

[ QUOTE ]
Avery spent the bulk of his career around Coach Pop, coaches like him; so why do we keep hearing stories about Avery being Nellie's protege? He's Coach Pop's protege. If Avery learned anything from Nellie, it would be that life sucks when you essentially trade Steve Nash for Erick Dampier.

So are you guys saying that Houston isn't a tougher matchup for GS than Dallas? I think that the precise reason that GS had such success defensively in this series is that they didn't have to guard anybody in the post and because Dirk can't drive past a guard. T-Mac and Yao will eat them alive it seems like.

I will agree that Houston will have a tough time guarding the Warriors though. T-Mac and Battier can guard Richardson, Jackson, and/or Harrington. Baron will have a field day though.

Al, I didn't mean that Houston plays at a slower pace than Dallas all the time. Just that Van Gundy loves the slow, grind-it-out pace. Especially with Yao on the floor.
