Well, first of all, if you play a 12 hour session, and you reload any time your stack falls below the max buy in, it would stand to reason that eventually your table balance will be large. As a matter of fact, if any of their tables are anywhere near $200, those are probably losing tables. I really have no idea if they're winning or losing at the tables. But with the rakeback they're accumulating, I can guarantee you they're winning overall, and winning a lot.

one does not have the right to question sample sizes if one's observation is based on "watching them right now and they are currently up at a good amount of there (sic) tables"

I tried to open this entire thread and my computer crashed... did FTP respond directly to the OP in any way?

The OP has been surprisingly absent from this thread going back to the first week or so of the post. Haven't seen him on the tables either so who knows. My guess is he's done with Full Tilt, but could be wrong.

Wow. I had every intention of going to bed 10 minutes after logging on to this site. Sucks that I clicked on this thread.

People wonder why FT isn't shutting down the bots. Take a look at the winnings of the 3 bots in question and remember that you pay approximately $1 rake for every buck you win.

We are talking about a net loss of $16k for FT by shutting down this user alone. I assume they would prefer to lose our initial poster Trebek instead.

I don't believe they were ever bots, every now and again I check on them I've seen them chat now and again (though obv not proof either way) but I've also seen 1 in particular (think it's mariojr) play tournaments while 7-tabling. Hard to believe a bot plays tournaments..

Honestly I'm not sure this means anything either way. I have little doubt when they are playing tournaments, they are present. Frankly, since this whole fiasco started I'm positive they've been present the majority of the time. However, to pull these super long sessions, the possibility at least exists that they could be on autopilot some of the time and present some of the time. I have no way of knowing. All I know is these guys have greater stamina than anybody I've ever seen on FTP if in fact all of their play is legitimate.

I think sites need to just openly let people use bots.

As Alobar and others have pointed out, sites really don't have much of an incentive to eliminate bots, and it's unlikely they ever will.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ilya and Alobar are Exactly correct +1000.

It is impossible to distinguish between a well designed Bot and a Human Pro.

Why?

Because the Top Bots are MANNED by high level players...
Who step in and make the 5% most tricky decisions...
And can defeat any "human tests".

People who are anti-Bot are naive and technologically clueless...
Because the ONLY way to eliminate Bots...
Is to eliminate ALL high volume, profitable accounts.

The poker world thinks it's 1965... when trading with computers was considered akin to "cheating".

And pointing at Winholdem is disingenuous.
Virtually all talented enginners applying AI to poker...
Would never even consider collusion...
Any more than they would consider robbing the local gas station.

And the saddest part... ONLY LOSERS fear Bots...
Because > 90% will be so badly implemented...
That the best players will exploit them.

Just like algorithmic trading on Wall Street...
Probably 90% is junk and a money loser.
