yeah I saw that as well. Looking at their roster, they should be dropping about $14mill in the offseason. This is of course assuming the re-sign Stack. $14mill is a lot of money and I am sure they could get New Jersey to eat some of Kidd's salary. If not, they pay luxury tax for nest year and enjoy not having to pay Finley $18.5 a year.

Doesnt make any sense anyway. Terry has probably 7-8 more solid years, and Devin Harris is still up and coming. There is no way they considering signing Kidd who will maybe play 3 more years. Dallas is solid at the PG position, and that is not their main concern this offseason.

btw it's hard for me to feel bad for someone making 17 mil a year or whatever but I do kinda feel bad for Dirk. He is an incredible player and one of a kind and will get nothing but criticism until he win's a title. Basically everything that happened to Detroit last year happened to Dallas this year. They were pissed they lost the finals and had a ridiculous reg. season as a result and probably expected to somewhat roll through the playoffs. The second they got some resistance (in Det. case it was vs. Cleveland) they lost confidence and pretty much fell off of what they were supposed to do. GS just happened to have a bunch of freak guards who had been a nightmare matchup for Dal.

I really don't think they should do anything but hope they don't face the Warrs or something. They OWN the Spurs and with homecourt probably would have beaten the Suns. They just need to not be soft as cupcakes next time.

well what you consider to be their main concern?

I think this series really showed the lack of depth that Dallas has.

Also both of you are making big assumptions that Harris will continue to improve. Next year will be massive.

Ralph - that is a horrible thought... make it go away and never bring it up again.

Diop is pro, but I have a hard time calling George and Buckner depth.

KC - I think Cuban will do something... I can't see him staying pat. This has got to be devastating. If Nets dangle Kidd... it's something I think he'd have to consider.

Center is easily their weakest position. Its not even really a concern. They are without a doubt one of the top 5 teams in the NBA. Do you even watch basketball?

Also, Harris is only 24 years old. Most people dont reach their peak at 24.

I think the chances of Dallas acquiring Kidd are slim and none, and thats probably being generous.
