If we could get more hands in live I could make sooo much money at casinos.....though I gues they'd go broke faster (but there are prolly more fishes live, right, I dunno)...all I know is live games are ridiculously soft and I still make more $ per hour online because you can play so many more hands online than live per hour.

[/ QUOTE ]Not many people go to a casino to sit and wait for hands. It's all gamble. Totally standard for a table to have PFR of 8xbb or higher too, lol. You can almost just nut peddle. I'll gamble it up with them a bit too, I shoved the sucker straight for like 200bb at Mandalay Bay and two people called me neither had me beat or had a set. Two pair and one with middle pair + gutshot... gutshot sucked out. That sucked. But, make it back so easy. Most tables just never going to see someone fold middle pair. Every now and then you run into a player who makes a big fold, but then he keeps doing it in really dumb spots where it's a trivial call.

The only downside is live players are INCREDIBLY annoying. But it's fun at the right table along with hugely profitable. I left a juicy game at the Tropicana because this one tool was tanking every hand and complained more in 20 mins than Hellmuth has done in his lifetime... in 200nl! Ugh.

edit: Bah, FT MTT I raised CO with AJ, station calls on button. J33 flop. A few hands ago I bet flop and c/f turn. So, I bet. He calls. Blank on turn. I check. He bets. I shove. He instacalls with J9 spikes a 9, weeeeeeee! FU poker gawds.

craps >>>>>>>>>>>baccar at>>>blackjack

except baccarat is kind of boring...craps is definately the most fun and has the 2nd best EV.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ah...blackjack's the only table game I know how to play (knowing how to play means having a +ev edge or having the lowest -ev disadvantage). And I really think I could pull off one of the simple counting systmes like KO or Hi/Lo but only if there were 3 or fewer players at the table....more than that + the dealer going as fast as he/she does and I get lost after 3-5 hands. Maybe if I practiced it....but that'd be stupid since I already have such an edge at certain poker games and I would rarely travel to AC to play blackjack.....plus their deck penetration is always gonna be an issue and I would likely need to learn a more complicated counting system to be able to really count on it to make some money.

The problem is they catch on real quick when you start changing your bet sizes. That's why it's done with teams.

Don't open up UTG. Open up on the button. Raise ATC. 2nd barrel a lot, value bet 2nd pair, bluff raise.

My 929 sample at 10 NL (35/33/5): 12 buy-ins up, 60ptBB/100. That is an hourly winrate of $32.41, or more than 3 buy-ins an hour 3 tabling. I think I am going to experiment a little bit more with this style and if I am still succesfull after 5K hands I am going to experiment at 20NL.

Another good thing is that your opponents go insane. I just stacked 3 people in 17 hands.

[/ QUOTE ]
open up as in raise the hand not open my game up. guess i should have said raise. i take it your first lang not eng? not trying to be an ass if that how it sounds just think you mistook what i meant. i only play like a 21/18 game overall so i'm no lag by any stretch.

[/ QUOTE ]

English is indeed not my first language, but I did understand that you meant raising those hands UTG. What I meant to say is that I am starting to believe a lot of us still overestimate the importance of their cards. A lot of opponents at 10NL are so unobservant that they don't notice I play ATC from the button, but play tight everywhere else. This means I am getting an insane amount of action and am practically able to openshove my good hands OOP, because they think I am pushing them around OOP just as I am doing it IP. This is obviously not true. I only do insane things IP, because it's a lot cheaper there.

So the bottomline is: I think it may be easier to play J5o profitable on the button than playing T9s UTG.

Oh man I love live MTT's especially if they have a decent BI...so much fun and the break from really playing plus the poss. of a huge score.

I remember one time though in a live MTT...one hand a shortsack goes all-in so on the button I raise with like A3 or something cause I'm ahead of his range and I'm iso'ing. Eeveryone folds and he's got like QT or w/e...he beats me.

A few hands later I raise CO or button with 88-TT or something, I don't remember exactly and this chick in the blinds makes a reraise (that totally commits both our stacks.)....I tank for like a minute and fold saying you have a bigger pair than me. (I mean I think that's fair + in my limited experience girls are generally much tighter than most guys.) She shows like A8 and says...well I saw you raise A3 before.

And you are so right about the cash games. Nobody goes to a casino to play so they can fold. And the standard raise is at least 8BB's...in my experience it's a bit bigger and often times several people will call and your reraise to 25-35 BB's will get called. They are so ridiculously soft.

Any rule against bringing your laptop to a casino and playing 7 tables online at the same time as playing 1 live?

Yea...yea I know. I wonder if you just randomized your bet a little bit. Like I mean just changing it up by a little bit even when nothing's really changed + drinking something you brought and acting drunk. Prolly take a while to catch on if they ever did.

I've pretty much resigned to just playing every very once and a while with girlfriend just for fun though and maybe occasionally playing singe deck (again mostly for fun) where I think it's much easier to do this. [The floor guy though was watching me quite a bit when I was playing single deck....He let me play the match play when I wanted to though when the dealer asked if I could.]

What was your ROI at 60's if you don't mind? Mine was only like 3% or so for the time I played them.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't think that I have more than 1k sngs at stars in my career. At the 55s on party i was making somewhere around $5 per sng played while 8 tabling, so I guess that makes 9%.

I agree. Both are standard folds for me...but I'd rather open J5o on button. However T9s in MP or CO are both more +ev than J9o on button I think....and I think for at least some players better than me T9s UTG is probably (though not definitely) more +ev than J5o on button.

Ah yea I never played at party....missed the gravy train I guess.

9% at that level is real good in my book though.

I'm kinda drunk btw if nobody noticed.
