Also Beltran, finnaly gets a meanigful homerun (Im pretty sure the previous 19 all came with the Mets up 5-0 in the 7th inning) and what does he do, nullify the whole thing by not catching a breakable ball. Yes the blown save is wagners fault for sucking but Wagner not pitching well is not excuse for Beltran to not catch catcable balls. Then a real clutch AB in the 9th. God this guy is such a peice of [censored]. 8 jabillion a yr for 2/3 horrific season and the one yr he was good he sucked in the playoffs. What a bust. He's worse than Delgado.

^^u realize beltran is the key to the mets success?? i strongly feel they go as he goes...
i definitely wouldn't say he's not worth it, his avg is maddening to me, though he's never shown a propensity for a high avg... true, that last atbat sucked last year, but this guy gets it done, what more can u really ask of him??

I have no problem with BobO hating on anyone named Carlos that is on the active roster, at least for tonight. That game was hard to swallow, I haven't been this sick about a loss in a while.

wagner was due for a blown save, esp after that ridic one against the braves a few days ago loading the bases no outs. altho im annoyed at this loss, we lose no ground to the braves which is just so funny bc it seems whenever the mets lose, they lose too.
as for beltran, id say it was a pretty good return, you cant jump on him just bc he struck out in the bottom of the 9th, castillo and wright didnt do anything either.

Well the offense just wasn't really there last night...AGAIN. They scored 3 runs on the Marlins, a team that averages 5+ runs against a game. I knew that would pretty much happen though. This team seems to suck this season when facing pitchers making their MLB debut.
