Since this thread is already kinda hijacked, I have a random question about something I was thinking about yesterday.

For some reason I started thinking about makeup and how I NEVER wear it. I did wear a bit a handful of times when I was younger and going to fancy occasions, but I haven't worn anything in years. It just never even enters into my mind. For the most part I barely even recognize the stuff exists.

So anyways, I was just thinking if this is something that people instantly notice when they meet me and what impression it gives. I'm guessing that most girls notice right away, but I don't know about guys.

Thoughts?

(This doesn't really matter to me as I'm not going to start wearing makeup just because it's something people notice, I just think it's interesting to have an idea of what people are thinking.)

IME, guys notice makeup only when it's garish and gross, or if someone they know that always/never wears it is opposite. We don't give a [censored], to be frank.

Exception to this: If our normally non-makeup-wearing significant other gets all dolled up for an event, it's a big deal, because she's trying to look hot for us. It's like flowers are to women, only better.

In fact we discussed stopsigns in pogchat and it was brought to my attention that at a two way stop the person that arrives first goes first.
Crazy.

Also: My US drivers license test + training was kind of a joke compared to the test over here. Especially the price difference is evil.
US: 15 or 20$ iirc
Here: 1800 Euro iirc

Btw, does anyone know the rules of renewing US licenses? Can you do it anytime after it expires? Mine has expired like a couple of years ago I think but I'd like to renew it to get cheaper rental cars in the US and avoid discriminatory airport checkaments on inner US flights.

Holy crap, 1,800 euros?! LOLOLOLOLOLOL

All I have to do to renew my driver's license is go to the DMV, get a new picture taken, get a quick eye exam and pay some relatively cheap fee.

Renewing my car plates every two years is a pain in the ass, though. $180, I think. What a rip.

Zero,
I think the lack of makeup isn't something that guys notice per se but I do think it factors into the initial impression that you make on both guys and girls. Just because we don't notice all the little details consciously doesn't mean they don't have an impact; it just means we aren't thinking about all the little things that cause us to form our impressions.
