[ QUOTE ]
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/features/cy does C.C. Sabathia win Cy Young this year? [/ QUOTE ] I am a homer but I think he should. Can't say if he will. If he had even 3 runs of support all year he would be well over 20 wins. His last 10 starts he has given up 0 once, 1 3X and 2 6X, all going at least 6IP. But he only went 3-3 with 4 NDs in those games. KJS |

Re: **OFFICIAL 2007 Cleveland Indians Thread**
if he doesn't, him and fausto should at least be top 5...
and the late 80's browns were the first time i cried over sports...the other were the '99 indians, and by that time, i was probably too old to cry over sports.. |

Re: **OFFICIAL 2007 Cleveland Indians Thread**
It's too early to say that there's an obvious AL Cy Young candidate. With so many guys with reasonable cases one bad start would be enough to remove Sabathia from the running.
If the season ended today, nobody would get very angry if he won. Given that Cleveland never wins a goddamn thing, please, please, please. |

Re: **OFFICIAL 2007 Cleveland Indians Thread**
I really don't know if this makes me a d-bag or not, but even as a diehard Indians fan, I don't really want CC winning the Cy Young award.
He's one year away from free agency and that Cy Young award may boost his salary 3-4 million per year. Then again, if he wins it it's not like I'll be mad. Best case scenario: just give it to Fausty. |

CC winning it is fine since he'll be gone after 2008 no matter what happens. |

I honestly believe there's a chance C.C. stays with us. I think a 4 years, $64-68 million number would maybe sway him, and I'd think Shap would do it. Win the Cy Young award, OTOH, and that balloons up to the $19-20 mill a year range, IMO. |

Re: **OFFICIAL 2007 Cleveland Indians Thread**
There's a reasonable chance that Sabathia stays with Cleveland, but he has to sign the contract this offseason.
