Locke grew marijuana. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah but that's a bit of a stretch. The other people on the plane have done some seriously bad [censored] (Kate, Sawyer, Jin, Eko). It's not like Locke killed, conned, or abandoned anyone close to him. If growing pot is punishable by crashing on a mysterious island - I'm never getting on a plane again. |

He was also a stalker and did help his dad take that money he stole. [/ QUOTE ] Okay - but it seems that others deserved to crash on the island based mostly on karma, not results of their actions. Locke's intentions were understandable - he reconnects with his long-lost father who then abandons him after stealing his kidney. So yes - he stalked him but it wasn't in a criminal sense. And same goes for helping his dad steal the money. It seemed that he did this out of a need for his father's acceptable and not greed. The island seems to focus on the intentions of its inhabitants and not the end result. Whereas Kate, Eko, Sawyer all did things that were malicious in intent. |

[ QUOTE ]
"She wants to know how Ana Lucia is doing." Ana Lucia was one of the passengers on the back of the plane. The stewardess and that little girl knew her. Ana Lucia, of course, has died, which explains somewhat Jack's strange reaction to the question. "YOu are a leader, a great man but this...this makes you lonely and frightened and angry." [/ QUOTE ] Ok first post on this thread, read all the pages. Few opinions I'll address. For all those people that said the episodes sucked..... grab the remote and change the freaking channel. Hello. 24 episodes per year. You think Heroes, 24, or CSI has bad episodes? So for people to complain about if the show met "their standards" is a crock. Ok this episode was low key, not much action, but as discussed in season 2, its called character development. Sometimes you have a lull episode. 2 key things happen here and AF certainly picked them up. 1. Cindy and the other survivors. - They showed up out of nowhere, when we have never seen then before. - It was all of them together, but they seemed out of place, deranged, and the majority acted like they did not know why they were there - Only Cindy talked, and no one else did. - There was not a single main other in the group there with them. Not even one of the random guards with the guns. It was like that group was alone from the others. Lastly for this, the scene we need to recall is S2E5, the episode where Sun looses her wedding ring, and Jin and Mr. Eko hid in the bushes when they saw only the dirty feet of the Others walking by (when we see again, the kid with the Teddy bear). Obviously that time in season2 they were either drugged/infected/something. Now we see them in season 3 all washed up and clean. Were they transformed by brainwashing? Were they dead and Jack is seeing ghosts? What about the two kids we clearly see with them? Too many ways that the plot can swing there. I personally think somehow they might be dead. I mean why would we have that scene in Season 2 where we saw 5-6 dirty possible others walking all oddly in the jungle? 2. The 2nd part is brief but the tatoo artist was almost like a psychic, where she could see into people souls. She was frightened of Jack when he confronted her. Its like she saw some future revelation that scared her. She was saying it was his destiny to lead people against some type of struggle/war, but in the process it would end up making his life miserable. |
