Samo, its not to do with questioning FSU's intergrity, its merely pointing out that if he has money at stake there is a potential conflict of interest down the line. imo it is best for fsu to have no financial interest in the outcome of a match he is moderating.

Look at it this way. Say you knew the referee of the superbowl had $2K riding on the outcome. Would this be OK with you? What if you knew he was a priest with a history of outstanding morality and know with 100% certainty he will try and ignore his personal financial incentive when officiating?

[/ QUOTE ]

Very silly analogy Dean.

It's so easy to write up something hard and fast that can't be debated. There will likely be no judgment calls here at all. I'll hold the money and moderate if people want but since neither knows me well I doubt they'd want to. But I'm sure fsu could vouch for samo's sake and diablo could vouch for my kkf's sake or something. but either way, FSU is as trustworthy as any and this shouldn't be a big deal at all.

James

How?

OK, say KKF owns Samo with a couple of sick calldowns and bluffs, then puts a beat on him. Just at that moment Samo sits out saying the DOD has called him and he must rush. Seems suspicious timing and people call bs - Fsu has to rule on whether Samo taking a break for a few days here is genuine or not. How is this not a judgement call?

everyone understands what u are trying to state about fsu being able to bet.
the truth of the matter is these r 2 super competitive poker players and i highly doubt once the match gets started that one of them will try to find a loophole(if they start out losing) to get around finishing it.they both have ego's and reps at stake and also want to win.

KKF, Samo -

You both talk all this [censored] about your game how sick you are and how you want to play each other hu for vast sums of money to prove it (basically waving your huge e-penises trying to hit anything you can in this forum) and then you both whine like 2 bitches about who is going to escrow the money (a pretty small amount for both of you) or who is going to "moderate" the match? WTF DRAMAQUEENS. JUST PLAY ALREADY. GIVE US DEGENERATES SOMETHING TO BET ON.

On the issues of fair, wouldn't the best solution be to pick 3 other respectable 2+2ers who don't really know/like/hate either of you and couldn't care less one way or another to monitor "fair play". Throw them $100 or something and call it a day for fucksake.
