We wouldn't like it and that is really what immoral means, so yes, humans would consider this immoral. The aliens would not. People seem to think immoral means something magical or absolute, but it doesn't. Saying an act is immoral simply means that some group of people doesn't like it and probably doesn't like it quite a bit so they want to try and attach a stigma to it by using a particular buzz word,"immoral." Morality constructed and enforced by society, correct? [/ QUOTE ]I disagree morality is constructed and enforced by 1st biology, 2nd Society, 3rd and most importantly the individual. [/ QUOTE ] Thats how I feel, in a nutshell. [/ QUOTE ] I agree with this and think this is well within what I said in my initial post. Your morals are simply a code that you like. What you like will probably be initially determined by biological and sociological factors. At some point you may also try to make them consistent and to explore the implications of drastic changes and what not, but this person is probably somewhat rare IMHO. To think that most people's morals are determined by soul searching is to totally neglect many psycholigical experiments and historical events that suggest strongly that most people have whatever morals the group they currently associate with has.
