The over-under for this tourney is that someone will win a seat with $35K chips. Don't get chancy and greedy at the bubble if you can float that.

[/ QUOTE ]

I had to stop railing when the first bubble hit. Did anyone pay attention to what the shortest stack that won ended up having? With about 15 to go, 53rd place had 24K.

There was a stack to my left with about 10k and I had about 11k when the bubble broke.

Why do you fold this in the small blind?

If you push and he thinks its a steal, your still 80% to win, right??
I'm not a pro sat player, but I wasnt sure about this fold.

Congrats to all 2+2'ers who won a seat yesterday. I was watching almost all of the tables and was very impressed with your play.

I'm guessing this was late in the tourney when we were just waiting for one more short stack to bust. So if he folds he's 100% to get a seat. If he pushes and get's called he's 80% probably.

Here's why I might do it.

He will always assume it's a steal and after posting the BB, he's only got 30K behind. If he thinks that's not enough to get through the end without playing, then he may call if he likes his hand. If he does, you have 80% chance of winning, or about an 82% chance of getting a seat. As it is, with $50K in your own stack, you have about a 99% chance. Why would you trade the 99% chance for an 80% chance at 100%? Is it so you can get the blinds, which moves you to a 99.2% chance?

On the bubble of sats, you don't play unless you have too - when you do have to, there are certain people you can pick on to maximize your fold equity - and small stacks that may feel the need to gamble and double up aren't them.

Risk/Reward > 1.0 ...fold.
