Re: 2007 Pac 10 football thread
ASU's shot ends the minute they put Dixon back in. You don't think he plays if it's close?
Oregon took its foot off the gas and didn't expose ASU for the crap team that the are. (I'll point out that you're one blow call away from being a 2 loss team, one of those losses being to a horrible WSU team). |

rofl @ anybody thinking ASU had a chance in this game. super rofl [/ QUOTE ] ROFL @ anybody who didn't watch the WHOLE game. Super rofl. This Oregon team that supposedly dominated ASU was outgained 489-400. Oregon had five scoring opportunities and scored five TD. ASU had eight scoring opportunites and scored two TD, three FG including a 19 yarder, had a missed FG, and had two turnovers inside the 20. Sounds like a little variance to me. Oregon did look like the better team on Saturday, although that difference is 100% accounted for by home field. What really needed to happen was ASU score a TD on one of those turnovers. Then the final would have been 35-30 and the score would have fit perfectly with how the game was played. ASU, the team with no shot probably wins in Oregon 40% of the time. They're clearly over 50% at home. ASU showed themselves for what they are on Saturday, and that is a top 10 football team. |

We'll see how good ASU is this week against UCLA. The Bruins play tough at home and if ASU lets down at all, they could easily fall again.

During the Koetter era or Snyder era, I would expect a 35 point UCLA win. Hopefully Erickson is as good as he's getting credit for. A win here and against Nogales Tech gives ASU a very good shot for a BCS bid. |

Yeah, actually you can forget what I said about UCLA earlier. Apparently, Cowan's got a collapsed lung, and they'll be starting a converted receiver at QB.

We will have to agree to disagree, but I think ASU is a fraud and UO wins that game 7/10 times.
UCLA is worse though, they're so dinged up, they should get rolled. |

[/ QUOTE ] UO winning the game 70% of the time doesn't make ASU a fraud. In fact, the moneyline on the game was 70-75% for Oregon. On a neutral field it's probably 60%. |

Not that Autzen Stadium is a real tough place to play in for visitors or anything. I still think Oregon is the best this year but if this were at ASU the game might've been a bit different. Though I still think Oregon would've won. I don't think ASU would be over 50% at home, but it would be close. b |
