Well, I'm not a lawyer, but I know to enter the house, via kicking in a locked door, for example, they would need a warrant signed before a judge who has found probable cause.
There are a few exceptions, such that if they see a crime being committed in plain sight (a minor consuming alcohol ie). I am not here to justify the police action in this case, we do not know all the facts, and EM2 can hire a lawyer to pursue possible police misconduct if he chooses to do so. Neither do I agree with the 21 drinking age, but it is the law.

My only objection is to posts such as 'America sucks' because its "illegal to hold a party in your own house." This is just plain stupid.

As far as I know, no it is not. It is illegal to sell, serve, distribute to 'minors.' If the parent gives them a beer, well I guess thats a gray area. I agree its a stupid law, I'll grant you that.
