This is the wrong attitude. You have someone putting in a bet on the flop and turn drawing to two outs thinking he's drawing dead to your supposed flopped set and clearly without odds anyways and fails to raise the river when he gets there saving you a big bet. Instead of killing him, you should be buying him a drink. He's trying to give you money; that's the least you can do.

This sort of hand drives me up the wall for some reason. I guess I should be thankful he saved me like a thousand bets.

Sorry, I admit to not reading every post in this thread (skimming). Apologies if I took your post too literally. I've seen way too many good players tilt for wrong reasons, so...

Oddity, good trend, sign of a winning player, or just a statistically insufficient sample size?

I have currently played 41 sessions of 20/40 since June 1st (when I moved up) and they average just about 5 hours in length. I have 24 winning sessions and 17 losing sessions (about 60%). I have in that 200 hours averaged about 1.7 BB/hour. This is not the trend I am asking about...

Of those 17 sessions, 14 have been 1 rack or less, while 3 have been 3 racks or more. I have not had one losing session between $500 and $1500...is this because of tilt those 3 times, just horribly poor variance, or what. None of those sessions were extremely long, none over 5 hours.

On the flip side, of my 24 winning sessions, 15 of those are over 2 racks, which is a pretty high percentage...

Just wanted to throw some numbers out there.

Thanks for any input.

OK, so a friend of mine needed 1k in cash, and I gave it to him in return for 1k in Stars $. I haven't played online in a long time, certainly not regular limit holdem. But I decided to commence with Operation Robusto, and try to build a roll from virtually scratch (like some other good players on here are doing).

How hard can it be? If I'm used to 30/60 and 20/40 live, what's 1/2 6-max going to be like? Cake, I tell you. Cake. Except I forgot that ONLINE POKERZ IS RIIIGGGGED OMGWTF

Yeah a couple times Crazy Mike owed me like 500-1k or so and offered to pay me on FTP. I cleverly refused because I knew I would incinerate it in 30 seconds. At least you were smart enough to play 1/2 while I would just sit in the first decent 20-50 game I saw and probably busto.

So I was going to post a picture of my PT Omaha/Stud stats compared to Holdem to say I need to never play Omaha again in my life but I was completely blown away to see that I am actually winning money in Omaha between 10/20 and 15/30 over the hands I have played on this computer. I unfortunately was not blown away to see that I lose a [censored] in 30/60 Stud 8 but I'm pretty confident that I'm a solid favorite in that game so I'll keep stubbornly sitting. These are hands from January 1 to now, I obviously do not play much online. I probably played a couple thousand hands of random games 10/20-30/60 on a laptop without PT that aren't included, I remember hit and running the 30 Omaha 8 game for like 2 bets a couple times and getting pounded in 10/20 random games. Also not included are triple draw hands due to lack of PT for the game, I'm not really sure if I've played much triple draw in 07 anyway. I played 10/20 horse/2-7 a ton when they first opened those games but pretty rarely after. Obviously not a lot of hands at all in any of the games but I have always assumed it would be incredibly difficult to lose for even 5k hands in hilo games if one was a decent favorite, the fact that I won like 12 days out of 10 in Party 10/20 might have disillusioned me a bit I guess.

I wish I ran live like I do online in lhe, I would gladly trade whatever bb/100 in 15 on Stars for not getting raped for like 55k lifetime in 75/150+. I guess that's what I get for playing 80 hours a week 3-4 handed with DD and Roc in games I have tons of experience in like Omaha Hi and Crazy Pineapple 8. Of course if I could do it all over the only thing I would do differently is try to play even better because I'm incredibly stubborn and in a live game if I think someone is somehow a favorite against me then I will just try to figure out how to make myself better rather than avoid them.

Saw Maria Ho playing 500-1k last night at Commerce with the likes of Ali Eslami and Devon Miller. She seemed OK the time I played with her in one of the WSOP events, but I know a lot of you guys bag on her. What's the deal?

I did my longest coaching session ever saturday - was about 6 hours. All at 1/2 6max online.

We lost 60 bets.
