What's your screenname? I just recently start posting on 2+2, so I'm not really sure who's who.

game selection can mean how tough the games are. Most people think the FTP games are tougher than stars. Part of the reason is that 2/3 of cardrunners members play there.

Also, im sure that really really good players love being able to express whether they are normal, happy, sad, or confused.

[/ QUOTE ]

true. i'd be interested in seeing a comparison of average pot, players/flop for stars and ftp. here are the numbers for ftp >100k hands at 1/2:

avg pot = $28.08
avg saw flop = 24.30%

anyone wanna chime in with stars numbers?

[/ QUOTE ]

A comparison is meaningless unless the data is collected at the same time(s) of day on each.

that is assuming the trends from day-night are different between the two sites. (which i doubt)

but still, you are right that the comparison would be more telling broken up into sections of the day.

edit: i should note, the numbers i quoted above are from a fairly evenly spread range of times throughout the day and night.

Another problem is that alot of your Full Tilt is probably datamined. Meaning that you weren't at the table, which affects table dynamics. On Stars, it is much more difficult to get datamined data, and if you played all the hands yourself, the table dynamics are much different.

"I've just never seen a misplayed hand from sashimii."

O RLY?

I just moved up to 100 NL and noticed him at one of my tables. I remembered reading about him in this thread. I was watching him like a hawk in case he misplayed a hand so I could come here and make a smarmy comment about it. He was 12 tabling at this time. Sashimii is BB in this hand and he holds K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

MP2 ($97)
MP3 ($99)
CO ($38.65)
Hero ($34.50)
SB ($21.10)
BB ($108)
UTG ($113.15)
UTG+1 ($69)
MP1 ($91.75)

Preflop: Hero is Button with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls $1, 4 folds, Hero calls $1, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($4) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero checks.

Turn: ($4) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB bets $3, BB calls $3, UTG+1 folds, Hero folds.

River: ($10) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets $7, BB raises to $31, SB calls $10.10 (All-In).

Final Pot: $58.10

What's the point of this river raise? It's like he's just saying "meh... oh well, he's only got 10 bucks left, what the hell... all in!!"

Mission accomplished.

Oh yeah SB showed 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] not that it mattered even if he showed KT here.

I don't have many FT NL200 hands in my latest dbase, but seeing 0_drunkenboxer, mariojr and full_tilting as big losers is pleasing.

lol shortstackeraments

I'm not convinced he misplayed the hand unless you can provide a read on SB. If you don't have a read on SB, post SB's screen name here plz. This could be a prefectly fine play against some shortstackers because most of them suckass.

Hmmm... 7-8 buyins is a pretty big downswing for a semi-nit. Anyone have a large sample of recent hands on the suspected bots? I'm sure they're still slight winners from beating up on the fish, but maybe the publicity has caused the regulars to play back at them a lot more and made a significant impact on their winrates.

I buy in for 40bb. This is not shortstackng. Shortstacking is when you buy in min (20bb) and leave when you double. I don't do that. If I drop to 20bb I rebuy to 40bb. And this is a terrible river raise, what worse hand is calling? What better hand is folding? Even if SB is terrible and he didn't do anyhing that would indicate that.

playing against CCUUURRSE gives me a headache.

speaking of the 'botz', i bore witness to this hand yesterday. guy that open-raised to $125 was a total tard, but never made a play like that before. mariojr is the CO 3better after a lot of contemplation.
