Did Joe Gibbs head straight to the locker room? Belichick looked a little lost after the game? Anyone notice this?

well this game vs Indy probably has a 5-10% chance of winning the Superbowl swing attached to it, given how huge an edge for getting homefield it will be

Yes, it looked like Joe snubbed Bill. Gibbs being pissed explains his calling a timeout down 45 with 30 seconds left etc.

NE is unstoppable! After they beat the Colts next week 38-21, there will be no doubt in my mind Pats will have a perfect season this year!

i thought the same...then i rewatched and it looks like ginbbs was heading to mid field then they cut away and gibbs was jogging towards tunnel. i think it was a quick shake.

phew. we had that one all the way!!

seriously, after last night I felt more relief than joy. The Colts played great and couldn't have been in a better position to win, but we somehow got our A game going just in time to come back. amazing. other random thoughts:

The Colts were certainly hurt by losing Marvin and Ugoh, as well as the LB's. But the Pats weren't 100% either - we were missing our best cover safety (Eugene Wilson) and Adalius Thomas barely played (almost certainly b/c he is banged up).

in addition, most would agree that the penalties were hugely slanted toward the Colts yesterday. Ellis Hobbs will probably get an apology from the NFL for the 2nd year running. I'm not sure who he pissed off.

so, I'm not sure things will be that much different with Marvin/Ugoh/the LB's on the Colts. if you put a healthy Eugene and Adalius on the field, and even out the penalties...I still think the Pats have an edge, even in Indy.

some other plays in this game were weird: Reggie Wayne normally makes that catch, but Addai goes 73 on the checkdown even less frequently. take those 73 away, and Peyton throws for only 152 yards.

anyways, move the game to January in NE, and that is a huge swing for the Pats. both the dome and a winter game in NE have larger than normal HFA's - that swing is probably worth 7 points to the Pats. though both offenses are better off in ideal weather, I think the big Pats D will be better positioned to play in a slower, winter style game.
