Gah, did my second day of "Starting Strength" yesterday.
Deep squats we're much harder this time, and I failed to complete my last set. Actually felt a little sting in my left groin and right glute. And today my legs feel like jello. I'm gonna seriously decrease the weight for tomorrow (SS has squats 3x a week. I'm too old for that [censored]). |

I'm going back to Colorado this weekend for a death in the family, which is going to be sad, tough, etc, but I hope I can go to Rockies game one of the 5 days that I am there to lift my spirits (if course they'll have to win in order for it to work, but still). |

I just back to Sthlm from a weekend in Vienna. I hadn't been there in two and half years, so I was wondering how people would react to the poker thing. The reaction was very much the same you're having in Germany - a little shocked at first, but then something like, "wow, cool!" (and they meant it too - really unexpected all the way around). Anyway, it was an absolutely fantastic weekend. I fell in love with the city all over again, and already miss it something fierce. Of course those feelings were tempered when I returned to Sweden to hear the news from my mom. At the moment I am really thankful for the resources poker has given me to allow to me take a short vacation and then turn around and still go back to Colorado on a couple days notice if needed. So here's to poker ... *raising glass* |
