I finally had my first losing day today. You can read about it on my blog.
Also, what genius set the O/U on me losing at 60 days? I was starting to think I was invincible. |

It may be good advice. We dont want our hero going broke so soon into his career. Although I hear he has been owning the PLO tables and he sounds pretty confident on his sng icons blog.
Good luck!! |

I kept telling him not to move up yet and risk losing half his bankroll on a downswing. And well, at one point, he was down exactly half his bankroll. But, heck, what do we know? I guess nothing. |

I have about 17000 hands at 25 and 50 PLO. My win rate at 25 is 19 BB/100 and only 6 BB/100 at 50. So you are wrong about 50 PLO being just as easy. While you can find just as terrible fish at 25 as you can at 50, the regulars at 50 are more aggressive and harder to play against than those at 25. My suggestion is keep at 25, except when you see a juicy 50 plo table with an average pot size of at least 15.

The variance at PLO is so much higher than at NLH, which means you should have a much larger relative bankroll for the buyin you're playing. Stick to 25 until you can take a five buyin downswing without it having such a dramatic impact on your overall bankroll . . .
. . . like after you win the Sunday Million. |
