Re: ***Official November Chat Thread: The Golden Duck***
i think you need to raise the turn here more than a min-raise.
i know you dont want to scare away the straight/flush draws..but assuming someone sb/bb has completed their straight here on the turn.. you want to get as much money if not all your money in here at this point. Even just for value... i would say rr more. min rasies are almost always bad as a value bet. Of course, you got coolered here nicely. |

apparently you don't need a great vid card to run 2 monitors - there are new USB plug in devices that you can use.

Re: ***Official November Chat Thread: The Golden Duck***
O.K.
In the past, in that hand, i would have raised the turn to 35, they would have both folded, and I would have asked myself "what in the hell are you doing overplaying your hand, you practically had the nuts". It's easy to say after the results that I could have raised it more. To me, raising more on the turn is overplaying the hand, and losing value from my big hands. I can maybe see raising the turn to 25 or 30 max. , but no more that that. Oh well, like my location says, I am constantly trying to dodge 1 and 2 outers at Stars. Standard. |

Re: ***Official November Chat Thread: The Golden Duck***
m bozeman, I can understand what you're saying but going to the river with $200 left to be bet in a $94 pot and a boat is pretty bad IMO which is the reason you raise more on the turn.

i dont like how passively you played this. First, i like raising the flop because if a 2, 5, or 7 comes your hand's value is reduced drastically, and you should make anyone drawing there pay. i like simply calling sets on uncoordinated boards, or boards with something like an AKx where its reasonable the raiser will fire again on the turn. also, under sets will not stack off often should the board become more straightable. second, i hate the minraise on this turn, you can get more money out of people drawing to a heart than a minraise. river sucks but its the right call [/ QUOTE ] QFT |
