Did you really run that $22 into $550. You are lucky you didn't bust out when you went all in with 9-3 vs my AA preflop or none of this would of happen.

I wish this thread would die... I'm getting tired of the random observer coming to the tables and saying "so and so is a bot."

Of course... I think they are humans and I've played hours and hours with them, but that is not my point...

There are always fish at the tables!!!! Don't scare them off for me and Smart_Money and all the other regulars on Full Tilt's 1/2!!!

A fish seeing a "bot" comment and deciding to play elsewhere is -EV for me!

[/ QUOTE ]

No matter where anyone stands on this issue this is truth.

I make jokes about this on 2p2 but, I would never speak about this at the tables.

While I generally agree with Plasphemy's statement, I still am very concerned that players like Plasphemy and Narena, who I have the greatest amount of respect for by the way, are too focused on keeping things status quo in the short term without thinking of the potential future consequences of more sophisticated bots showing up in larger volumes.

Even if the guys in question right now were not bots, and I'm personally very suspicious, that's not to say there won't be people creating sophisticated bots very soon. I think it's a very real threat to the game.

I don't want to drive the fish away either. But at the same time, I think the awareness of all players is important if we're going to make a stand against suspicious activity and not allow it to run wild. While a lot of the fish may not be the greatest poker players, I'm sure most of them are thinking human beings who are capable of carrying on intelligent conversations at the table like the rest of us. If a large number people decide to leave Full Tilt in the short term because of this issue, while there may be less fish at the very least it makes a statement to the site that this activity won't be tolerated. I'm trying to look at the big picture.

I think you've misunderstood. I do think that bots are a concern- albeit more so for the near-future at the NL tables, especially at full-ring games. However, it's also important to not over react to the situation and not to forecast all doom and gloom.

Yikes, everyone in that town is named Charles Kuruzovich. This is worse than the Johnsons in Blazing Saddles.

It's no secret that bots can already be purchased. Most are designed for limit cash tables though.

You have a good point plasphemy.

Today, after a hand, mariojr said "nh" to me. I just answered, as a joke, "a bot can talk?". He immediately said that he will send an e-mail to the support to get my chat privilege revoked! lol

Anyway... it is not a good thing to say that in front of the fish. I will not do it again.
