bobbo you will probably sell 10 times as many at $200 as you would at $750.

[/ QUOTE ]
I am in no rush or need to sell them at 200 though. I'm pretty happy with the price, and frankly, the people who have bought it have gotten value from it.

Bobbo, why do you think the book is worth 750$? Just wondering. You can always add a copyright disclaimer so that we don't re-sell, re-publish or whatever. You are going to get it published later anyway, right?

[/ QUOTE ]

Good questions. Here is why; I coach out of the book, for one. Two, although alot of what is in is is "standardized" stuff, there is a fair amount of stuff that no one has posted or written about. Basically, it's information presented in such a way that has not been discussed before. It gives anyone a decent edge since there are alot of exploitable tendencies that people continuously do (and feel they're right to do) but... they're not! Some specific examples would be 3betting ratios, bet sizing, and when to apply various guidelines when building big pots OOP. (with 1 pair mind you)

I hope it does get published later, and I do need to tinker with it a bit (add HHs) and by no means do I think it's worth it for everyone. But anyone logging even just 10k hands/month, 750 is a pretty realistic price bc it will pay for itself pretty quickly.
(Also, when selling the book, one thing I do add is I'm happy to talk in AIM or whatnot about concepts that do not fully make sense, this helps for 2 reasons: 1. you understand it better 2. i can edit my book / add to it so that it becomes better)

when are you sending the first copies out? have you already? i assume you're just working on trust that they won't distribute them to their friends etc?

The first few I sold were prolly 4 months ago or so? It's fully possible people distribute them; I have no influence over it. What I do want is the "word" or whatnot from the person they will keep it for themselves.

(FWIW, one person who bought it called me and asked me if he could share it with his roommate. Obviously I'd rather they paid for it, but I said sure, go for it; this person took the time / effort to contact me, clearly was ready to withhold information if needed, but in the end it was pretty reasonable for them to both read it)

It's pretty similar to a huge PT database. You can sell it for X, and clearly would prefer little to no piracy, but it's just something that may happen.

2ptbb/100 at 400nl=$16/100 hands
10 tabling= 1k hands per hour roughly

Your MT ratio would be more like 8 instead of 10 though, from opening and closing tables, unless youre doing like 4 hour sessions.
