You guys are unbelievable. They drop two straight on the road, and you want to pack it in?

"Trying to stay optimistic"?????

It has less to do with Sox losing and more to do with the fact the Yankees are winning.

and yes, I know they've played crap teams all second half of the year, and they have a rough stretch coming up, but they're 5 games back.

Beckett, Dice-K, Schill...Pap, Gagne, Okie.....something tells me we'll be just fine.

Just ignore me. I have a habit of whining too much. Maybe I do have that loser mentality non-Red Sox fans accuse us of having.

Yeah, the Angels announcers are really bad. I don't know if they're worse than the YES announcers, but it's gotta be close.

[/ QUOTE ]

What clubs have good announcers? My sample size is rather small, but most non-Sox coverage I find pretty stale. A few I'm impartial to. Locally, I get A's and Giants games (though when there's a conflict, Giants win, and I hate it). The Giants booth blows. The A's I like a lot. Not quite as good Remy and Orsillo, but Fosse and Kuiper are awesome.

kid-

the NYY announcers are lame and bad....LAA are the worst. most of the midwest teams seem to have guys who just call the game and are perhaps a little hokey. boston has the best, and i have yet to hear a close tandem.

Do the Brewers have some old guy announcing, or at least old sounding, cause I remember thinking he's pretty good.

The Brewers have the current best announcer in baseball. Haven't you seen Major League?

The Indians have the second best announcers imo. Oakland has good ones.

Only NYY and LAA are truly horrendous.

i was watching an Indians game right after the A's traded Kendall and the Indians' announcers kept going on about how this meant the A's were giving up on the season and playing for next year, it was very disappointing.

Jeez, that sounds pretty stupid. That being said, the A's have basically given up on the season.
