OK, one of these hands was real, but it made me wonder if I should handle other straights differently. How would you play the hand in each of these three different scenerios?

Also, CO seamed fine, not a fish, not a pro.

Senerio 3... Preflop: Hero is SB with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

I am still learning how to use pt, PAHUD... so I think you all provide VPIP, PFR% and total aggression freq, so according to PT he was 38/18/1.5.

[/ QUOTE ]

That guy is loose and somewhat aggressive, but not as aggressive as he should be if he's putting money in the pot that often.

I dont think I want to play AT OOP so I usually reraise or fold preflop. If I reraise and he 4 bets I dump it. If he calls I'm fairly careful about playing the hand from there.

I probably just fold JT preflop, although I'd sometimes reraise.

I would usually call the 55 and would not c/r the turn if thats what you had. I think I might call down if he continues under betting the river and just fold if he makes a real river bet.

[/ QUOTE ]

I had JT. I also posted in FR, and I guess the consensus is fold JT, AT pf, call 55, but keep pot small w/ @$$ end of str8... nice pot though

Simple preflop decision?

Raiser is 20/17. BB is 26/20 and has one of those FT football uniform avatars, which I think means he won a FTOPS tourney or something, for whatever thats worth.

UTG folds, MP raises to $7, 2 folds, Hero ?

[/ QUOTE ]

I mixed it up between calling preflop and 3-betting weak pps. 3-betting is eseentially a bluff though.

Also, if you call I don't think you can simply set mine here. So, you going to have to be willing to c/r or donk some good flops.

I think you have to call river... 6 is unlikely unles it is pocket sixes

[/ QUOTE ]

I think (hope) he's asking whether to just call or shove not call or fold!?

I would have shoved the turn, so I'd probably shove here as well.

[/ QUOTE ]

If you shove you're only getting called by a hand that beats you right? Why risk more?

well, I misjudge what he had left. It's like $4.75 more to shove. But, I knew it wasn't much. But, even if it was like $50 more, you are not only getting called by hands that have you beat.

Villain is ~35/25 over ~150 hands of data mining. I'm fairly new to this table (maybe a couple orbits) so I dont know how he previously reacted to 3 bets.

UTG: $310.75

CO: $76.55

MP posts $2
Pre-Flop: J J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BB)
UTG folds, MP checks, CO folds, BTN raises to $9, SB folds, Hero raises to $28, MP folds, BTN raises to $314.65 and is All-In, Hero ?

He snap shoved, for what that's worth.

[/ QUOTE ]

fold your JJ, you have to be way behind QQ-AA, of flipping vs AK, AQ (unlikely, but still flipping)

[/ QUOTE ]

I doubt he's playing QQ through AA this way. AQ or AK you have to stick your money in if you knew that's what he had. With his stats I couldn't lay this down.

I posted that [censored] A9s hand at the Card Runners forum, rewording it so no one would misunderstand it. The people who I talked to on AIM about it misread it the first time there as well
