Also, this is another interesting piece of info. I don't think it has been posted yet.
Once again, credit goes to snagglepuss for figuring this out. But there is some "metadata"-like info attached to the XLS file that seems to indicate who created the file. The name includes first, last and middle initial. And it's a unique name that I would not expect to pop up often. But if you google the guy, he's an alleged rapist who went missing (from a state in the US) while free on bond in 2006. (Pretty much a year ago) There's no guarantee that it's all connected, but I'd say there's a solid chance that it is. So we might have a rapist to thank for sending Marco the file. |

The mere fact that after the first round of investigations and posts on 5 sites the traffic at absolute did not decrease shows that the people playing there and the fishes in general can't tell any difference between the various poker & casino sites. |

One idea that someone had was to target people specifically using Absolute Poker.
One possibility is advertising on search engines on results related to Absolute Poker. I looked into this, and generated a list of key words that related to absolutepoker.com (don't have the list handy, but I'm sure I can find it/recreate it) Obviously this would cost money, so I'm not sure how this would work. |
